Peter W. Bloom is an insurance coverage attorney with experience representing plaintiffs and defendants, insurance carriers, policyholders, and brokers.
Peter represents individuals and businesses in resolving disputes with their insurance carriers. Peter is a zealous advocate who balances determination with strategic decision-making.
Peter has handled matters involving homeowner’s, commercial property, commercial general liability, professional liability, errors and omissions, directors and officers, employment practices liability, and cyber insurance. In addition, he has managed complex matters implicating multiple types of insurance as well as excess insurance towers.
Peter’s litigation experience includes successfully briefing a certified question to the Nevada Supreme Court resolving a novel issue of Nevada insurance law.
In addition to a decade of experience in insurance coverage, Peter has litigated landlord-tenant, construction defect cases in courts around the Bay Area. He has also litigated commercial disputes, personal injury cases, and civil rights cases.
In his spare time, Peter plays softball, swims, and spends time with his wife and son. He is an avid supporter of the Oakland Roots and Soul.
